Sample Five Aspects of Woman Ground Rules
If you are a class leader, we recommend that early on you establish a set of ground rules for your class. Here is a sample set of ground rules.
- The expectation is that you will do your assigned work. Read the lesson each week so it will be fresh in your mind. You can underline, circle and highlight as you read. Then complete the questions.
- Come prepared every week. Pray before you begin your lessons that God will open your eyes and teach you so that you will have understanding.
- Come prepared to contribute to the discussion. My prayer is that each of you will share some of your personal discoveries each week. We usually remember what we say.
- Arrive on time. Please be ready to start class sharply at 7:00 on Monday evenings. Our discussion time is too valuable to not use it wisely.
- Life Lessons are personal reflections on what you have learned. For each aspect, there is what is called a Life Lesson. You are expected to write a short summary of what you have learned and insights into what the material has meant to you personally. A good way of thinking about a Life Lesson is thinking about this question: “How could I creatively express this aspect to my daughter or good friend?”
What if we didn’t do our homework?
We can all understand times in women’s lives when completing the homework is impossible. Please do not hesitate to come if you haven’t finished your work. We want you to complete your homework, but more than that, we want you here. We know that your participation in the discussion may be limited, but you will still be able to soak in the information as it is discussed, and being in the group will be an encouragement.
