Explanation of Five Aspects of Woman Life Lessons
After studying each aspect for three lessons (as it was created to be, as it is distorted and marred by sin, and as it is redeemed and restored in Christ), the fourth lesson is a Life Lesson that allows each woman to express what she has learned in a creative way. Students are asked to describe the basic truths of the aspect and explain what this aspect means to her personally.
Through the years, women have taken the instructions to use their creativity to incredible levels: there have been letters written to spouses, children and friends; women have composed poems, devised stories, and produced DVDs, newspapers, and blogs; there have been acrostics, acronyms, and advice columns, prose, purity celebrations and pictures.
For some women, though, writing their Life Lesson can be a daunting task. Seeing what someone else has done can help spark the imagination.
A few sample lessons are available here. More samples are printed in the Leader’s Manual.
Please do not slight or skip over these applications. Usually it is in the very process of summing up and creatively expressing the truth of an aspect in her own words and style that the student obtains ownership of it.
